Supervise Workplace Safety and Health for Formwork Construction (Formerly Known as FSCS)

Companies are able to meet MOM’s requirements, would also be familiar with the health legislations and occupational safety. There were numerous cases of formwork collapse in the past. With training, formwork supervisors would be equipped with the knowledge on proper inspection of formwork during construction, erection, alteration of dismantling to prevent accidents.

Content:

  • Apply the WSH Act and its subsidiary legislations and relevant Codes of Practice to the construction, erection, alteration or dismantling of any formwork structure in a worksite
  • List the roles and responsibilities of a formwork supervisor
  • Assist in carrying out risk assessment for formwork activities 
  • Apply the fundamentals of formwork structure construction 
  • Ensure formwork structure construction is in accordance with approved design
  • Inspect formwork structure before, during and after concreting
  • Respond to failure in formwork structure, fire and emergencies

Who to Attend: Supervise the construction, erection, alteration or dismantling and inspection of formwork structures at any worksite. 

Pre-Requisite: Workplace Literacy & Numeracy Level 4; Preferably have completed and passed the relevent Formwork Activities Course, SEC (K) (Timber, Aluminium, or System Formwork) by Building and Construction Authority (BCA); 

Assessment: MCQ, Case Study and role play.

Attendance: 75%

Certification: Upon Successful completion of the course August International Pte Ltd card and certificate will be rewarded.

  • August International reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if trainee did not meet the eligibility criteria.
