The “Supervise Safe Lifting Operations” course is aimed at providing individuals with the knowledge and skills to supervise the crane operator in the manoeuvre of a load safely to its destination.

  • Risk Assessment
  • Risks related to personnel involved in lifting operations
  • Ground assessment to ensure that conditions are safe for any lifting operations to be performed by any mobile crane
  • Types of legislations on lifting operations (Including Permit-to-work & Lifting Plan)
  • Roles and duties of personnel in Lifting Operation and Lifting Supervisor
  • Safe work procedures for lifting operations
  • Use of appropriate Attire, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and tag line for personnel in lifting operations
  • Types of loads, load charts and related terminologies
  • Types and functions of cranes, components, rigging equipment lifting gears and accessories
  • Types and functions of communication equipment

Who to Attend: The Supervise Safe Lifting Operations Course is suitable for aspiring and experienced individuals assigned as Lifting Supervisor in the workplace. Be medically fit.

Medium: English

Pre-Requisite: Have completed WSQ/ MOM Rigging and Signalman course or Marine Rigger and Signalman course, Be 21 years old and above, Have relevant experience in lifting operations for at least 3 months [ supported by Company /Individual Application Letter to indicate periods of relevant experience in lifting operations], WPLN4 or equivalent

Course Duration: 35 hours, inclusive assessment

Assessment: MCQ, Case Study and practical.

Attendance: 75% for Classroom Session, 100% for Practical Session

Certification: Upon Successful completion of the course August International Pte Ltd card will be rewarded.
